DescriptionThe DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando at SeaWorld is seeking an experienced Hotel Manager.   • Responsible for the overall quality and profitability of the resort including guest service, product quality, risk management, and overall cleanliness and maintenance of the resort property.
  • Directly oversee all departments and resort operation.
  • Active participation in the Central Florida Hotel/Lodging Association.
  • Represent the General Manager in their absence.
  • Encourage the Executive Committee to address the resort's challenges and opportunities. Effectively lead the Executive Committee utilizing a participative style - using effective communication, timely coordination, problem-solving, and follow-up.
  • Maintain a high level of loyalty to the resort and the company. Regularly communicate, counsel, and assist in problem-solving with each manager.
  • Establish a friendly, courteous, service-oriented approach to guests exhibited by all hotel departments.
  • Attend forecast and yield meetings, and conduct weekly meetings with each EC member.
  • Approve all purchase orders and attend A/R meetings.
  • Ensure budget goals are met and/or exceeded.
  • Ensure all paperwork needed for daily assessment of expenditures is correct and submitted timely to Accounting.
  • Ensure preparation and follow-up of all service measurements.
  • Participate in Safety Committee meetings.Qualifications:
    • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum 5 years hotel experience directing a team at a full-service, large-scale hotel.
    • Hilton brand experience preferred.Skills:
      • Planning short and long-range goals.
      • Forecasting and total resort profit and loss analysis.
      • Ability to identify trends and needs areas.
      • Professionalism in handling sensitive or confidential matters.
      • Proven record of commitment and professionalism in meeting the challenges and pressures of a 24/7/365 operation.
      • Possess business maturity and be profit-oriented.
      • Effective management style including problem-solving, self-starter, strong leadership skills, and ability to work under pressure.
      • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
