Community Communications, Inc., based in Orlando. We are the
primary providers of NPR and public media content in Central
Florida. We offer a full benefits package including health

Outcomes
- Target Acquisition: The Director will identify and qualify
50-75 high potential major donors within the first year. This
targeted approach will significantly expand Central Florida Public
Media's (CFPM) major donor base.
- Donor Cultivation: Engage in an average of 2 donor cultivation
meetings weekly, equating to at least 90 meetings annually.
- Increased Gift Size: Through personalized cultivation and
stewardship, the Director will secure an average gift of $25,000
each from an estimated 50 new and/or existing donors over 2 to 3
years, resulting in a projected $1.25 million increase in major
donor contributions.
- Improved Donor Retention: The Director will implement a
comprehensive stewardship program to deepen long-term relationships
with major donors, leading to a 10% increase in retention of major
donors giving $10,000 or more.
- Increased Fundraising Efficiency: Research reveals a 10%
increase in donor retention can raise the lifetime value of a
nonprofit's donor database by 200%, demonstrating the
cost-effectiveness of this investment in fundraising.Key
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the organization's
significant contributions portfolio, including planned giving and
capital campaigns.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the President on
philanthropy-related matters.
- Lead efforts to secure significant gifts (e.g., five-, six-,
and seven-figure donations) with support from the President,
Director of Development, and members of the Board of Trustees.
Manage a personal portfolio of prospects and create and manage
individual goals for each person in the portfolio.
- Work collaboratively with the President, Board of Trustees, and
senior leadership to align philanthropic efforts with the
organization's strategic goals. Contribute to the development of
the organization's strategic plan.
- Build and nurture relationships with high-net-worth
individuals, foundation representatives, and corporate
leaders.
- Represent the organization at donor meetings, events, and
networking opportunities to cultivate meaningful connections.
- Develop personalized engagement and solicitation plans for top
donors and prospects, driven by each donor's passions, interests,
and communication preferences.
- Professionally and clearly articulate Central Florida Public
Media's mission and funding priorities, verbally and in
writing.
- Prepare tailored proposals, presentations, and impact reports
for major donors.
- Create and implement a stewardship and recognition strategy
that demonstrates donor impact and builds long-term loyalty.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure consistency in
donor messaging and materials.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather appropriate project
information, including budgets, to create principal gift proposals
and compelling stories and data that demonstrate the impact of
donor investments.
- Work closely with the Board of Trustees to leverage their
networks and expand donor relationships.
- Provide training and tools to empower board members as
ambassadors and fundraisers.
- Establish measurable goals and track progress toward major gift
fundraising objectives.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for the President, Board of
Trustees, and other stakeholders, including monthly reports on
portfolio progress.Performance will be measured by:
- Qualifying and disqualifying donors: including appropriate
documentation.
- Achieving overall budgeted revenue goal based on individual
donor goals. Retention and upgrading of donors, including
cultivation of transformational gifts.
- Development of a personal contact and ask plan that takes into
account the individual donor's interests, motivations, giving
patterns, as well as ask and communication preferences.
- Securing project and organizational information, then creating
and writing effective offers, proposals, and asks. Regular and
timely reporting back to the donor.
- Creating timely reports that reflect portfolio
performance.
- Management of people, process, deadlines and budget while
adhering to the policies and procedures of the
organization.Education and Experience - An equivalent combination
of education, training, and experience will be considered:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, with a focus
on principal gifts. Capital campaign experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of cultivating, soliciting, and securing
five- to seven-figure gifts.
- Experience working with senior leaders, board members, and
high-net-worth individuals.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Internal collaboration skills and interest, as well as ability to
be self-directed work independently when appropriate. Excellent
written and verbal communication abilities, including proposal
development. Strong organizational and project management skills,
with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in donor management software (e.g., Raiser's Edge,
Salesforce) and data analytics. High level of integrity,
discretion, and professionalism. Entrepreneurial mindset with a
results-driven approach. Passion for the mission of Central Florida
Public Media and the ability to inspire others. Valid Florida
driver's license and operable vehicle.This position is based in
Orlando, Florida, and the Director should reside in the
broadcasting station's coverage area. Orlando is a diverse and
welcoming city with beautiful parks and neighborhoods, vibrant
food, arts, and sports scenes, and a strong sense of community. For
outdoor enthusiasts, we're less than an hour from the beach, and
we're surrounded by beautiful lakes, natural springs, and rivers
for kayaking, diving, tubing, hiking, and more. We also have a few
theme parks you might've heard of! Our average high temperature in
January is 72 degrees, and our average high in the summer is only

home!Much of this work is done indoors; some outdoor event work
will be involved. There may be extended periods of working at a
computer. This position must be available for meetings, trainings,
events and operational emergencies outside of normal working hours.
